One way ticket

Denise and I have found a few shows on TLC that we love. “John & Kate plus 8″ and “Little People, Big World” are the two main ones that are just fun to watch. They are reality shows but they aren’t that Big Brother or Survivor bulls**t.

We had just come home from getting a treat at SONIC and sat down and proceeded to watch “Big People, Little World”. This episode was about how the family was expanding their house and making it bigger.

“Wow, that is just huge compared to before.”

“What do you think they are compensating for? Heh heh.”

“Really? You just got yourself a spot in hell for sure.”

I have tried three times to start this blog and man I can’t figure out where to start.

Today was one of those days that just….needed to end. I know, you’re asking yourself “But today was a new episode of LOST and The Office, how can he be saying this?” Well, I am. Denise and I got free HD-DVR yesterday from DirecTV. They came, installed and it worked….for 1 hour. I called the 800 number and man it’s amazing how well they can fix the problem over the phone without having to be in the same zip code. Yes, I am being sarcastic and I hope you could tell cause I am laying it on pretty f*ing thick!

It’s just TV, I know this. But if you all had a show that you just hated to miss and had to because the of technology you would be pissed too.

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. Fuck that! Take the lemons and stuff em down life’s throat! I digress.

We ended up going to see “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”. Funny but it was no “Spaceballs”. I found myself laughing at some parts and then noticing that my distinct laugh was the only laugh resonating throughout the theater. Some of the jokes were great and you know it’s always good to know that movies can still pull a laugh from some good “dick and fart” jokes.

The podcast is going to be great. Matt is stoked for it. He and I have this great banter that is just going to make you all laugh your asses off. Well, I am hoping that it makes you laugh. There will be a form of a structure in the show but it’s gonna be kind of “shoot from the hip” style, mixed with some movie reviews, music reviews and *GASP* guest stars! Nothing amazing like Paris Hilton’s cooter but damn it’s gonna be some good shit.

In The Can

I just figured something out this morning. It’s one of those life lessons that you learn totally by accident. It is kinda something you might learn from that Confused guy.

- You never really know someone until you have used the bathroom after they have taken a dump.

You really see a different side of someone then.

So I have some wonderful news. Some has to do with me, some with family and some with Denise and I.

1. I (and Denise) are going to be an Aunt and Uncle again. My sister is “preggers”, her words, and the baby is due the 21st of December.

2. I recently found out today from my work that I have been invited to go to the 2008 Audie Awards. These are pretty much “The Grammys” in the audiobook industry. I believe that 4 books that I worked on were nominated this year and I am hoping to win another. Oh, just in case you didn’t know, I had four nominated last year and one of them won.

3. Denise and I have registered at Crate & Barrel and Target for our wedding. So get those cards out and go SHOP!

4. My friend Matt, an old friend from when I worked at Sam Goody, are going to be starting a podcast that I am putting together. We are still trying to decide on a name for it but let me give you an idea of what we will talk about: music reviews, movie reviews, t.v. reviews and then just TOTAL random discussions. We need a little help on your part. We need help with a name. The one main one I have fallen head over heals for is “What if we all had tails?” But I would love any input from you guys. Please help!So that’s pretty much it. Things have been good. School is going great and I have my first math test this week and I am excited and nervous. I think I will do good but you never know.

And now an Arrested Development quote:

Gob: So you’re telling me the guy we’re meeting with can’t even grow his own hair. Come on!
