It’s Spring right?

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

In-laws are coming this weekend and Denise and I have some stuff to get done around the apartment and so forth.  I also have personal stuff I gotta get done by Friday night so we can have a FUN-FILLED, action-packed and any other “hyphenated cool words you could throw in here” weekend.

So on Monday (or was it Sunday?) we began to do some Spring Cleaning around the flat.  I began by cleaning out my car and that was not something that was awful or was at the point where I was swimming garbage (like my old car) but it needed to be done.  Denise began by cleaning the bathrooms.  She is really good at it and I suck it seems like.  So, instead I cleaned the living room and so I helped her with the Kitchen.  Yesterday I tackled the kitchen so more and mostly did “organizing” of said area.  I then hit the spare bedroom.  I mostly use that room.  I use it as an area for getting ready at 2:30 a.m. so I won’t wake my wife who is still sleeping.  It ends up being a dumping ground for dirty clothes and other stuff and it just needed some organizing.  After cleaning said room I went to class and then got a text from Denise saying that she saw the room and that “I hardly recognized it!  Fantastic.”  That made my day.

I also have some homework that I am going to get done before Saturday so I can have it done and be AHEAD of schedule on my homework!  YAY.

Other than that, I am looking forward to seeing the Redwoods this weekend.  Maybe, just maybe I will see and Ewok or two.  A man can hope right?

P.S.  I am so glad Karo has a blog.  I didn’t know she had me linked so that means I have a new reader and someone to add to my blog roll!

What’s going on?

Swine Flu, Air Force One flying over New York and the Recession.  These things are in the news but are not scaring me.  If something is going to happen it’s going to happen.  I am not going to walk around with a mask on my face when it’s happening in California.  Yes, if there is a case of it here in Oregon I might been seen wearing one of those medical masks.  But dammit I am at least going to make sure it matches my shoes when I go out.

This whole “swine flu” thing is the least of my worries.  I have bigger fish to fry.  I have a wife and have to think about our daily lives.  I have two classes that take front seat to some outbreak that resembles the flu.  We need Dustin Hoffman and that black guy from “Outbreak” to solve this problem.  If they were on the case I don’t think we would have anything to worry about.

“Swine Flu, fuck that.  ‘Rain Man’ is on it!”

Besides my wife and school the other main thing I have to worry about: Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen.  Lame?  Hell no.  I am hoping to God that it doesn’t suck.  A lot of people just called the first one tons of CGI and “loud noises” but I thought the story was good and a great introduction to the live action war between the Autobots and Decepticons.  The second is suppose to be the equivalent of “The Empire Strikes Back”.  However, this statement scares me.  “Empire” is one of my Top 5 movies and to say something is like that movie scares the living BEJEUS out of me.   But I am going to keep my hopes up and cross my fingers.

My in-laws are coming into town this weekend and my wife and I couldn’t be happier.  I think it will be a fun weekend to just relax and have a good time with some family.

It’s been far too long……

Hello.  I am sorry for the time that I have been away.  Things in my life are just crazy and it seems like life is going 115mph all the time.  Luckily, I have those evenings where all I do is sit at home and chat with my lovely wife and find out about each others day.  It’s those moments that I just love.

I appologize for not blogging in so long but I will be coming back.  I looking into re-vamping this blog.  I am working on changing the look and feel and hopefully it’s going to be something you all enjoy.

I am not going to stop blogging, that’s for sure.  I will be posting more often and hopefully I will build my readers back up to where it use to be.
