F.A.Q.’s

Your name is Jason Steele. That’s J.S. So what does J.O. stand for?

Who cares. J.O. is dead. No more. I am Jason. Next question.

Where is Jason’s most favorite place to be and why?

I love being in the studio or at the mountain snowboarding. I love being in the studio cause it’s a place for me to shine and help artists get their creative juices flowin’ and help them bring their musical ideas to the table. I love being at the mountain cause that is where I just feel at one with the Creator. It’s his playground and He’s letting me have my way with it. I am so thankful for everyday that I have up there.

What do you wish to accomplish in your lifetime?

I want to take a band that I feel has promise, talent and definite drive to make music and be heard. I want to take them from a small baby band and turn them into something wonderful. That would be amazing.

What is your favorite article of clothing, and why?

My skin

What is the first thing you think of when you wake up?

“Shit….there’s a 2 a.m.?!”

What’s one thing you would like to change presently?

I want to further expand my spirituality and watch it grow.

What’s your biggest regret?

I would have to say that one of my biggest regrets is not going for it when I was snowboarding back in the day. I am gonna toot my horn for a bit: I was good. I wish I still had the “skillz” that I use to have. Not to say that I can’t do it anymore but when I had my two accidents that involved broken bones I lost my edge. I still haven’t regained it. I feel I might have passed my prime and that makes me sad sometimes when I am driving home from the mountain. Maybe with help from above I can conquer my demons and become “steezy” again.

Do you have a girlfriend?

No.  But, I do have a wife now. Her name is Denise and she is also and avid blogger like me. She is pretty much a cross between Dooce and Mighty Girl but only 100x better. We met through a mutual friend, Dan, and began our own personal “Oregon Trail” journey to where we are now. At first there were thoughts circulating “The Argonne House” that she was a “Man-bot” and that she was going to hack into my system and get me to give her my credit card number for “rent”.  Turns out she just wanted to be with me.  And we are now married and watch LOST together on a weekly basis.  Couldn’t be happier.

How often do you shave?

When I feel like I need to. When I start looking like a hippie from Ashland OR then I know it’s time. My Grandpa is a good judge of when I am suppose to shave. His comment about 2 months ago made me laugh and at the same time it was a wake up call: “So when you gonna shave that off? You look more repectable when you shave.”
